Non-Jordanian ownership in companies listed on the ASE reached 46.0%, of which 32.8% for institutional investors

Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) statistics revealed that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the ASE in September 2026 was JD49.5 million, representing 15.8% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD37.3million.

The value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors since the beginning of the year until the end of September 2026 was JD311.5 million, representing 12.2 % of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD366.9 million.

Arab investors’ purchases during September 2026 were JD47.3 million, or 95.6% of the overall purchases by non-Jordanians, while their sales amounted to JD34.3 million, or 91.9% of non-Jordanians total sales. The value of non-Arab purchases amounted to JD2.2 million, constituting 4.4% of the overall purchases by non-Jordanians, while their sales value amounted to JD3.0 million, representing 8.1% of the total sales by non-Jordanians.

Hence, non-Jordanian investors' ownership in companies listed on ASE as of end of September 2026 represented 46.0% of the total market value, of which 32.8% for institutional investors including companies, institutions and funds. Arab investors own 29.6% and non-Arab investors own 16.4%. At the sectoral level, the non-Jordanian ownership in the financial sector was 47.6%, in the services sector was 22.4% and 51.4% in the industrial sector.
