ASE

As part of the Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) efforts to enhance awareness of the capital market and disseminate knowledge regarding the use of technology in developing business and financial services, and in coordination with Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls in Al Ramtha District, the ASE held a remote awareness lecture. The session was aimed at tenth-grade students enrolled in the Vocational and Technical Education (BTEC/IT) stream.

Eng. Fidaa Al-Maaqaba, Head of the Operations Section at the Information and Communications Technology Department, delivered a lecture addressing how can be leveraged to develop operational processes and electronic trading systems. She discussed enhancing operational efficiency and keeping pace with technological advancements in financial markets, while also addressing technical solutions for creating an electronic trading environment that supports efficient and effective workflows.

At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing students to ask questions and seek clarification on the topics presented, as well as on the nature of the Amman Stock Exchange’s operations and its role within the Jordanian capital market. This helped to broaden their knowledge and bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications in a professional work environment.

This lecture is held as part of the ASE’s commitment to social responsibility, its dedication to strengthening partnerships with educational and academic institutions, and its goal of fostering investment knowledge and culture among students. By introducing them to the national capital market, the initiative aims to enhance their financial and technological literacy, while helping to bridge the gap between academic outcomes and the requirements of professional life.
