ASE Holds a Seminar Entitled “Sustainability: From Commitment to Real Impact
As part of the Amman Stock Exchange’s policy and social responsibility, and in its efforts to enhance investment awareness activities and promote financial literacy, the ASE organized a virtual awareness seminar entitled “Sustainability: From Commitment to Real Impact” via Microsoft Teams.
The seminar was opened with remarks by the CEO of the ASE, Mazen Wathaifi, who emphasized the importance of educational events organized as part of a series of specialized seminars aimed at enhancing awareness and developing knowledge and skills related to the securities industry among various segments of society, particularly regarding contemporary issues associated with sustainability, governance, and corporate responsibility
The seminar was presented by Dr. Rasha Dayatt, Director of the Planning and Institutional Development Department at the ASE. She addressed a number of key topics related to the concept of sustainability and the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). She also highlighted Jordan’s national commitments in the areas of climate, energy, and sustainable development, as well as the ASE’s efforts to enhance disclosure and sustainability. She emphasized that achieving sustainable development requires collective cooperation, effective leadership, a real transition from theoretical commitment to sustainable practical impact.
More than 100 participants attended the seminar, representing relevant entities. financial services companies, listed companies, family-owned businesses, university students, business and economics colleges, investors, and individuals interested in financial and investment matter
